My wife was a professional dancer on broadway, then in 1999 she started tearing tendons that would not heal. She has been bedridden and become totally disabled since 2000. Could this be of benefit to a woman who has been bedridden with Mixed Connective Tissue Disease (Lupus) in her shoulder, hip, hamstring, ankle and toe tendons?

Sorry to hear aout your wife's struggles. I would suggest that she comes in for an evaluation to determine if she is a proper candidate.

Hello Dr. Sampson - I have several issues that I'd like to inquire about. Are any of the following conditions treatable with the PRP Injection?

1) I am scheduled to have surgery on my shoulder for a torn labrum and possible rotator cuff issues.

2) I have had 5 knee surgeries and still need a reconstruction on the left as the ACL is most likely gone. As a result of these surgeries I have arthritis in my knees.

3) I had a large herniation between my C6 and C7 vertabrae that has dissipated. However I am in constant pain.

Please let me know your thoughts.

Hi, I am 19 years old and have had 2 hip surgeries (iliopsoas release) to relieve symptoms of snapping hip syndrome. The operation was successful on my left hip (snapping and pain went away) and in my right hip, only the snapping went away. It has been painful since and it has been about 8 months since the surgery. My doctor said it was synovitis. Will PRP cure synovitis in my hip?
